Summer's over, as are the holidays, and already September's shaping up to be a pretty good month! Some big announcements first:
Once again, I'll be at Canzine this year, selling comics and prints! A one-day event celebrating zines, small-press comics and underground culture, Canzine will be held at the Art Gallery of Ontario on October 17 from 1-7pm. I'll be debuting my zine So You Want to be a Hero, along with several new prints. Old stock (including the Apple Darling comic, along with Vamathangut Siblings and Pompadour prints) will also be available for purchase. If you're in the Toronto area and looking to score some art (or if you follow me for my writing, and want to ask me about my stories instead), stop by and say hello! Admission to Canzine is free (with a $5 suggested donation) and for the first time ever, the festival will be held in an accessible venue. More details on Canzine can be found through their official webpage, here.
My private commission The Big One has been chose as a Runner-Up for Creative Quarterly No. 41, in the category of Professional Illustration! A huge thank you to CQ for considering my work. The Big One will be displayed in Creative Quarterly's online gallery for their Winter 2015 segment.
That's it for now in terms of announcements! New art has also been added to the website - both conceptual and comic related - so definitely check it out. I was unable to attend Fan Expo Toronto this year due to scheduling conflicts, but my best wishes go out to the vendors and fans who did! With luck, you'll see me there next year.
